Period Poverty

Mentorship
Many girls miss school due to period poverty, a burden no one should face. We fight against the stigma surrounding menstruation and the economic hardship caused by expensive menstrual products. We go beyond providing resources. We offer education and information on crucial topics like self- esteem building, healthy young adult relationships, and recognizing all forms of abuse (SGBV) – empowering girls to navigate their lives with confidence
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS:
Since our inception in 2019, we’ve mentored 340
adolescent girls, distributed menstrual pads to over
2,000 women and girls (including school students,
incarcerated women, and new mothers), and
partnered with 3+ local NGOs to nurture confident,
independent young leaders across Montserrado and
Margibi Counties.
Our impact extends beyond mentorship: we’ve
promoted 5 mentees to junior leadership roles,
awarded scholarships to 4, and provided a small
business grant to support entrepreneurial
endeavors.
What we focus on
OUR PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES
PADS for Girls Monthly Mentorship Sessions:
We believe every girl deserves to manage their period
with dignity. Period poverty shouldn't keep girls out of
school or make them feel ashamed.
Back to School Drive:
To equip our primarily school-aged beneficiaries for
academic success, we’ve annually distributed essential
school supplies since 2021.
Community Service:
Our program empowers young women to become catalysts for
positive change. Through structured activities, we instill a deep-
rooted commitment to community service.
Vocational Skills Training:
PROGRAMS &
INITIATIVES
Vocational Skills Training:
To equip our graduating mentees with sustainable livelihoods, we
conduct a skills assessment in January of their final year.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS:
Our impact extends beyond mentorship: we’ve
promoted 5 mentees to junior leadership roles,
awarded scholarships to 4, and provided a small
business grant to support entrepreneurial
